Question; Some Breakfast club regulars have stated that they have had problems with computer viruses and that the cost for virus removal to
repair of the computer was more than $100.00.

Answer; Miccrosoft has one of the best programs for removving viruses and keeping them off. The prograam is free but you need to know how to doanload the program from the internnet. If you know how, install Microsoft Security Essentials, again its free. Its availble for all XP and above operating systems. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING MICROSOFT AND YOU ARE INSTALLING THE PROGRAM AS WRITTEN.' SECURITY ESSENTIALS ('MICROSOFT ALLOWS OTHER COMPANIES TO INSTALL THE PRORAM. YOU DO NOT WANT TO TRY TO INSTALL FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.) '

Our suggestions on how to proceed.

. 1. Your system has to be able tp pass Micorsoft validation.

2. If you have XP you need to download the latest updates.

3. Make sure what you download is exactly Microsoft security essentials, available from Microsoft. (Not some same sounding name program from a site trying to entice you by saying similar things.).

4. Using it we were able to ompletely remove all viruses from a kid’s machine that a bad infecton had made inoperable. This computer was restored to good operability and at no cost, free.

Question: I use XP. I followed your advice and still was not able to download the security essentials virus program.
Answer: If your XP system is an early version it needs the latest updates. You will need to activate automatic updates and then install the updates necssary to download the program. Its best to do this before starting the new program download.
